Going back to my roots

Hiya!

In my last post I told you about me moving “back home”.
I have for the past 7 yrs lived in the town Uppsala in the middle parts of Sweden.
However, that’s not where I was born and raised.
My home for the earlier years was a town called Kristianstad.

Trivia: The town was built in year 1614 and named after the danish King Christian IV(Kristian in Swedish).
The danish and the swedes fought in a war and ofcourse the swedes were victorious, thus stealing Kristianstad and the whole of Scania from the danish.
The town houses about 33k proud inhabitants.

I was somewhat lucky and got a hold on a 1br w small kitchen for a fair monthly rent. Best of all, it’s right down the city centre. :)

In other news I can tell you folks that:
- I’m trying to get into the University of Lund to study in the fall. If I get into the courses I want to, my life will work out pretty good thereafter…keep your fingers crossed for me!

- I’ve joined a bouldering club in Lund. My brother took me to the club and I was hooked immediately.
What the heck is bouldering?
Well, its a climbing sport and as the name sounds we climb on huge rock formations. Not to be confused with mountainclimbing.

Me and my brother are going on a roadtrip late may/early june.
The car will take us to Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris and finally to a place called Fontainbleau.(a.ka boulder-heaven)
It will be magnificent!

Take care

Back from the dead…

Hello and welcome back!

It’s been a while and I havent felt like posting anything for a while.
Mostly because I’ve been working…period.

I’m selling my apartment at the moment. You see, I’ve decided to move back home soon.
I’ll probably get some cash for the place, and plan to go away for a trip.
The planned trip around Europe didnt happen…atleast not yet.
I am a heck of a guy when it comes to the saying “I’ll take care of that tomorrow”.
If I get enough cash I might go to New York/Detroit for some playoff hockey :p

I’ve decided to quit my job aswell. What’s the point of doing something half way.
I need a change in my life. Otherwise I’ll get stuck doing the same old shit day in and out. That being arresting criminals. I’ll admit to loving the adrenaline rush, but it is not worth throwing my life away for.
When I have no real education, the plan is to get a certified education in some field. What is not decided yet…

But first of all…some travelling is a must, and like I said, New York is tempting.
For those who have missed…12th-28th February is sacred telvision days.
OLYMPIC GAMES BABY! =)

Yearly Cheese Rolling

Since I started thinking about travelling through Europe I’ve come across alot of interesting places I’d like to visit. Some more fascinating than others. You can see which my favorite destinations are, posted in the column to your right.
The latest addition to my list is the town of Gloucestershire in England.
Why Gloucestershire you may ask?
Because they have the Cheese Rolling there.
The Gloucestershire Cheese Rolling is an anually contest where a two dozen young men run after a “Double Gloucestershire Cheese”(yes, a cheese) down a steep slippery hill.
The first one to get to the cheese wins.
Sounds like a bad idea? Well, you be the judge. =)

I’m gonna be there, hopefully for the next running in exactly one year from now.
