Dried meat, Hockey & Music
For my next jaunt I’m looking for a snack of some sort that can be in my backpack for a long time, not having an expiration date. You know, for pure survival means, if I for some reason end up all alone in an unfriendly city with no food or water. Not likely but better safe than sorry.
So far I’ve found some interesting products suchlike beef jerky and something called Pemmican.
Pemmican is a mixture of dried powdered meat, fat & protein compressed into small bars. It does not sound like a gourmet dinner, but could quite possibly be a lifesaver.
I’ll keep you posted as I extend the search for the best lifesaver food.
Tonight was the first playoff-night in the swedish hockey league “Elitserien”.
The games are played as the best of seven games, and today were the first quarterfinals.
My team, Luleå played versus Frölunda(from Gothenburg) and after a scoreless first period, Luleå crushed their opponents with 5-0 in the second. The final score read 5-1 and now we’re only three wins away from the semifinals!! =)
A couple of days ago I found a new interesting service online. They offer endless music from any artist(almost atleast), and they offer
this for free(although you need an invitation). However if you want it for free you have to listen to commercials every third song or so. I myself pay 99SEK($10)/month ad-free for this awesome program that most of you probably already have heard of.
The name of it is Spotify.
All you have to do is download the software(both mac & pc) and search for the artist you want. There’s just one bad thing about it, beeing that you have to be online to listen. It’s impossible to download any music.
If you live in one of these countries(Sweden, Norway, Finland, UK, France, Spain) and would like to have my last remaining invitation, contact me. First come, first served basis.
Cheers!
